This Music Man Axis has just arrived from our travels to the SoCal Guitar Show in LA, it is a wonderful example with highly figured Curly Maple top in Tobacco Sunburst and Birdseye maple neck.
Research has revealed that this one is part of a 2009 Limited Run (specs defined by Guitar Center in a small order), of the EBMM Axis. The features on this one which make it unique are the Ernie Ball FACTORY-STOCK chrome knobs, chrome pickup covers, pearl-type tuning pegs, textured aluminum cavity rear covers, unfinished headstock, gorgeous flamed maple top and heavily figured birdseye maple neck.
It has been expertly set up with 10’s by our good friend Ryan @ Route Guitar Works in South Wales who declared ‘that’s one of the nicest necks I have ever played’ … high praise indeed!
It is in excellent condition and includes the original Music Man deluxe hard case (also in fine shape, with a few scratches on the top ) some case candy and both Allen keys required for adjustment.
Originally over £2,400 new, similar used examples without the added appeal of being a ‘Limited Run’ model sell for upwards of £1,500 in the UK as they are highly sought after & revered …
